Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage multi-entity accounting, reporting, and financial operations onsite in Hamilton, OH. You will work with senior finance leadership to maintain accurate records, support reporting, and ensure tax compliance across entities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Power BI. This is a growth-focused, hands-on role within a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI and financial reporting systems is preferred.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles.
• Experience with sales tax reporting and compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable (AP) functions across multiple entities.
• Support accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of sales tax reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other financial reporting tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
• Assist with developing and improving financial reporting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support broader financial operations.
• Provide onsite accounting support, document control, and transactional oversight at the local facility.
