Job summary

IPD (Industrial Parts Depot, LLC) seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in directing accounting and financial reporting across the company. This hands-on role manages monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, US GAAP statements, consolidation, and internal controls while partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering to translate financial data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, CPA/CMA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• CPA or CMA preferred; MBA or advanced degree an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Controller and senior staff in development of long- and short-range financial plans and objectives.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reconciliations.
• Oversee full credit management including evaluation, limits, collections, and bad-debt reserves.
• Prepare and review financial statements, consolidations, intercompany activity, and management reports per US GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, chart of accounts, and supporting schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Establish internal controls and monitor policies; identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities including standard costs, variances, and cycle counts.
• Analyze margins, material, labor, overhead, and pricing with cross-functional teams.
• Support accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, cash management, and forecasting.
