Job summary

Integr8staff, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to be the right hand to the Vice President of Finance and the daily operating leader of the accounting department. This is a 100% on-site role near Fullerton, CA, direct hire, with pay up to 160k DOE.

You will own the full close, financial reporting, internal controls in a SOX environment, and act as a finance business partner to operations. Manufacturing costing, BOMs, and SKU valuation are key focus areas, with audits and automation driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• California CPA, CMA and/or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing environment with standard costing.
• Preferably in Aerospace, Defense or automotive.
• Supervisory experience required; developing people is a plus.
• Advanced Excel for financial analysis, modeling and reporting.
• Demonstrated full-cycle close ownership and strong GAAP foundation.
• Experience with SOX internal controls in a public company.

Responsibilities

• Own the full close cycle: month-end, quarter-end, year-end.
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Design and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and audits.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and remediate findings.
• Manage standard cost setup and costing across SKUs and BOMs.
• Ensure valuation, inventory counts, reserves, and GL reconciliation.
• Analyze PPV and variances by product line; drive corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and plant management on productivity.
• Improve reporting speed and automate processes with new tools, including AI.
• Supervise finance team and set performance standards.
• Evaluate capital requests beyond ROI; audit projects post-implementation.
• Understand financial reporting and GL structure; prepare ad hoc analyses.
