Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking an Associate Manager, Accounting to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information. This role independently handles complex accounting activities, resolves non-routine issues, and supports financial reporting.

Works cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate month-end close. You will prepare reconciliations, strengthen internal controls, support governance and audit readiness, drive process improvements,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial controls, and process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex accounting activities involving multiple data inputs and non-routine transactions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Research and analyze accounting guidance to develop recommendations for non-routine accounting issues.
• Prepare account reconciliations, schedules, and reporting deliverables that support internal and external stakeholders.
• Support governance activities, internal controls, audit readiness, and remediation efforts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Experience: 3+ years of relevant accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial controls, and process improvement.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
