Job summary

The Hershey Company in Hershey, PA is seeking an Associate Manager, Accounting to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information. You will independently execute complex accounting activities and support governance processes that drive business success.

The role involves researching guidance for non-routine issues, preparing reconciliations and reporting deliverables, and collaborating to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with reconciliations, financial controls, and process improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

How will you fit in the big picture?

As an Associate Manager, Accounting, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information. This role independently executes complex accounting activities, resolves non-routine accounting issues, supports financial reporting, and strengthens internal controls and governance processes that help drive business success.

What will you do?

• Execute complex accounting activities involving multiple data inputs and non-routine transactions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Research and analyze accounting guidance to develop recommendations for non-routine accounting issues.
• Prepare account reconciliations, schedules, and reporting deliverables that support internal and external stakeholders.
• Support governance activities, internal controls, audit readiness, and remediation efforts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Minimum Education & Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of relevant accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial controls, and process improvement.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
