Job summary

VisiQuate is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead the monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting operations in California (Santa Rosa) with remote/hybrid flexibility. The role partners with the Corporate Controller to scale the finance function for a rapidly growing, private equity‑backed SaaS business.

You will own technical accounting (ASC 606/842/805/350-40), drive process improvements, support M&A activities, manage internal controls, and develop a high‑performing team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required or actively pursuing CPA with significant progress preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting and industry.
• Experience in private equity-backed SaaS or technology companies.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and complex structures.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge: ASC 606, 805, 842, and 350-40.
• Experience with NetSuite, Maxio, Ramp, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial reporting.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations; prepare consolidated statements under US GAAP.
• Oversee internal controls and ERP/system improvements; drive automation.
• Support M&A due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and lender/investor reporting.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff; partner with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Revenue Ops, Legal, HR, IT on initiatives.
