Job summary

Aktis Oncology, Inc. is a clinical-stage oncology company seeking an Assistant Controller. You will manage accounting operations, financial close, and internal controls, serving as the primary accounting partner for R&D teams.

This Boston-based, on-site/hybrid role reports to the Senior Director, Controller. The position demands a CPA and 7–10 years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on GAAP, SOX controls, and cross-functional collaboration across R&D, CMC and Clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with CPA license and 7-10 years related experience required.
• 3-5 years with life science companies preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger with accurate classifications.
• Lead monthly close process with journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Support development and implementation of internal controls and audit readiness.
• Develop scalable accounting policies, processes and systems including SOX preparedness.
