ASAHI BEER USA | OCTOPI BREWING is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and compliance. You will lead and develop the accounting team, ensure accurate monthly closes, and provide timely insights to drive business decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and month-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with company policy and accounting standards.
• Help prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports that inform business decisions.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures to meet regulatory, audit, and governance standards.
• Oversee general accounting activities — general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reviews.
• Lead, develop, and support accounting team members through work review, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Partner on high-impact transformation projects.
