Job summary

CFS is seeking an Assistant Controller in North Druid Hills, GA, offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will partner with executive leadership and the Controller on organization-wide financial initiatives, strengthen financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury, and guide multi-entity accounting operations across the nonprofit’s communities.

You will mentor accounting staff, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance and internal controls while supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with strong financial reporting and GL expertise.
• CPA designation preferred; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central valued.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close processes.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and treasury activities.
• Support audits, regulatory reporting, compliance initiatives, and internal control processes.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable operations while developing accounting staff.
• Drive accounting process improvements and operational efficiencies.
