Job summary

Country Bank is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage investment accounting, regulatory reporting, and monthly close processes within the Finance team. The role supports audits and enters journal entries, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial statements.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and four years in a financial institution, with proficiency in Excel, Sageworks ALLL, Phoenix GL, and related tools. It is a full-time role with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and four years of related work experience in a financial institution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate investment accounting, monthly processing, and portfolio reporting.
• Prepare/regulatory reporting including quarterly call report and FDIC/state reports.
• Maintain ACL calculations and Sageworks model; develop ad-hoc reports.
• Oversee monthly close process including journal entries and variance analysis.
• Act as General Ledger administrator and core system SME for the Accounting department.
• Participate in annual budget process and reconcile monthly actuals into budget."
• Assist with annual external audits and examinations.
