Truity Partners client in the Greater Milwaukee area is seeking an Assistant Controller with progressive accounting experience and strong leadership abilities to partner with the Controller and oversee daily accounting operations. The role focuses on driving financial accuracy and process improvements to support growth.

The position offers a salary range of $110k–$150k, with a focus on internal controls, GAAP compliance, and strategic financial insights across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• CPA designation or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Lead close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual), review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Mentor accounting staff with coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and analyses for GAAP compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and executive reporting packages.
