Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a senior financial executive to serve as an assistant to the Chief Accounting Officer (VP Controller). You will establish and maintain sound accounting policies, ensuring timely and reliable financial data for the Global Accounting organization.

The role requires guiding closings, preparing consolidated financial statements, regulatory filings, and governance with the audit committee. Strong leadership, integrity, and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level education or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 15 years of related experience.
• Ability to apply advanced evaluation and modification of standard techniques.

Responsibilities

• Directs financial closings and consolidation reporting to executives.
• Oversees regulatory reporting to federal/state authorities and shareholders.
• Reviews financial statements and communicates results to audit committee.
• Manages interactions with independent accountants and subsidiaries.
• Monitors accounting standards developments and research.
• Responds to new accounting standards proposed by FASB/SEC/EITF.
• Ensures financial systems and reporting capabilities remain robust.
• Supports acquisitions, divestitures, and financing initiatives.
