Job summary

Confidential Jobs is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join its corporate accounting organization and lead the consolidated close in a high-volume environment. You will oversee fixed assets, lease accounting, and the month-end close while coordinating with regional controllers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting experience, a CPA preferred, and strong leadership skills to manage a team of 5+ professionals and partner with external auditors during annual audits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including corporate/multi-entity environment.
• Strong experience with financial consolidations and the month-end close process.
• Strong technical knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and centralized accounting functions.
• Experience working with external auditors and supporting annual audits.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple business units and with regional controllers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the consolidated financial close process with regional controllers to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple business units and regions.
• Oversee corporate division’s accounting close and day-to-day accounting functions.
• Oversee centralized U.S. accounting activities, focusing on fixed assets and lease accounting.
• Manage and develop a team of 5+ accounting professionals, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure accuracy of reconciliations, journals, and schedules; support external audits.
