Job summary

Lindsay Family of Brands is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the corporate accounting function, including the monthly close, financial reporting, and consolidation of results across the organization. You will manage the corporate accounting staff, oversee the annual financial audit and income tax filings, and establish accounting policies and internal controls in line with U.S.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including management.
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Review and post journal entries.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards.
• Oversee the month-end close process.
• Support month-end financial reporting.
• Manage intercompany eliminations and consolidation entries.
• Oversee the annual financial audit.
• Oversee the preparation of federal and state income tax returns.
• Oversee collection activities and reporting.
• Oversee the cash disbursement process.
• Manage corporate accounting staff.
• Develop standard operating procedures and standardize accounting processes.
• Help establish and maintain internal controls.
• Help establish and maintain accounting policies in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
