Job summary

Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC, headquartered in Chicago, seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the close process, prepare journal entries, and drive internal controls. The role partners with FP&A and the CFO to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 7–10+ years in accounting, CPA, and experience in financial services. Strong Excel and ERP systems skills are required to manage complex data with accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• CPA required; bachelor's in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience in financial services and sponsor entity accounting (VRR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely, accurate results.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with FP&A on variance analysis and explain fluctuations versus plan/prior periods.
• Support audits and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and internal controls.
