Job summary

Lexington Staffing seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to safeguard and strengthen our financial operations for a private family office. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll oversee accounting, financial reporting, investment tracking, and tax compliance, ensuring GAAP adherence and discreet handling of confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or investment management, preferably in a Family Office, private investment firm, or high-net-worth business environment.
• Experience working with multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
• Knowledge of GAAP and tax-basis accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly cash analysis and funding requests. Monitor liquidity needs.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of wire transfers and funding transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable for Family Office entities and affiliated businesses.
• Work regularly with banking partners on special requests and follow-up.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as ad hoc reports for principals and Family Office entities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, investment accounts, and intercompany transactions on a regular basis.
• Ensure timely, accurate records of financial transactions, investments, expenses, insurance, and charitable contributions.
• Help oversee the accounting and financial management of the Family Office's unique assets.
