Job summary

Lotus Company, a Salt Lake City-based builder and operator of residential communities, is seeking an Assistant Controller. You will oversee construction and development accounting, maintain strong financial controls, and ensure timely reporting across our real estate portfolio.

Collaborate with accounting, FP&A, tax, and project management to support disciplined financial operations, project visibility, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with construction or real estate exposure.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and project-based reporting.
• CPA or CMA (preferred) or progress toward certification)

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting standards and GAAP compliance for construction accounting.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with FP&A.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and project cost reviews.
• Lead and mentor Accounting staff and develop internal controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial visibility.
