Job summary

Kokosing Construction is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate reporting and strong internal controls. You will work closely with the Controller and finance leadership to prepare journal entries and financial statements, while coordinating with business units to standardize accounting practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with FP&A, participation in audit activities, and driving efficiency through process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA preferred; construction/infrastructure multi-entity experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Assist in external and internal audit processes and respond to auditor requests.
• Collaborate with FP&A and operational teams on budgeting and forecasting.
• Drive process improvements in accounting operations and reporting workflows.
