Job summary

Luana Savings Bank is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and analysis under the CFO. The role targets a mid-level banking or accounting professional with expertise in Call Reports and audited financials.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced community banking environment. Based in Polk City or Ossian with strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance, preferably in a community banking or financial institution.
• Experience independently preparing bank Call Reports is required.
• Experience with audited financial statements and financial statement analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of the Bank’s quarterly Call Report and related regulatory reporting.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial statements and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial information and provide reporting and insights for management decisions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Coordinate and review information for the Bank’s annual audit and audited statements.
• Collaborate to improve financial processes and internal controls.
