Job summary

Bank of St. Francisville is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead technical accounting, oversee the general ledger, and manage month-end close and regulatory reporting. You will work closely with the Controller/CFO to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of two to three years of professional accounting experience.
• Banking accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Ability to interpret financial data and identify meaningful variances.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger integrity and month-end close processes.
• Review work of the Accounting Assistant including payroll and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate Call Report and other regulatory reporting.
• Supervise Accounting Assistant and support professional development.
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting procedures.
• Assist with audits, tax preparation, and external examinations.
