Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Northbrook, IL seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing workflows, improving efficiency, and driving cross-department execution via process improvements and AI-enabled automation.

The role entails leading month-end close activities, developing dashboards, and enhancing accounting operations. On-site, full-time with a compensation of $135,000–$145,000, supporting budgeting and financial planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site organizations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and reporting tools.
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, or accounting system enhancements.
• AI-driven workflow improvements experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, reconciliations, audits, and controls.
• Develop dashboards, KPI reporting, variance analyses, and executive summaries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability in accounting operations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning.
• Lead or support accounting projects, system implementations, integrations, and enhancements.
• Maintain accounting SOPs and internal controls.
