Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products seeks an Assistant Controller to support plant-level accounting and financial reporting in a complex aerospace manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Controller, you will manage month-end close, cost accounting, inventory and variance analysis, and prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.

You will help drive internal controls, audits, and compliance, partner with operations on budgeting and forecasting, and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting for manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
• Proven ability to manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
• Manage cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory valuation
• Perform variance, margin, and profitability analysis for plant operations
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and support audits
• Partner with operations on budgets, forecasts, and cost improvement
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies
• Leverage ERP systems for accurate data and process efficiency
• Support cross-plant continuous improvement and finance projects
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff
