Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

The Assistant Controller will play a key leadership role, overseeing all accounting and financial activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry regulations. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, improve internal controls, and support operational efficiency.

Description

• Lead and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with operations to analyze cost structures, inventory accounting, and financial performance metrics.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts, providing strategic insights to senior management.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and financial system enhancements to drive efficiency.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the accounting team.

Profile

• CPA certification required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm preferred).
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software; strong proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership.
