We are seeking an experienced P&C Insurance Accountant at the Assistant Controller level in Central Florida. The role requires a solid background in statutory reporting and supervisory experience. The Assistant Controller will oversee daily accounting tasks such as DOI and NAIC reporting, yellow book filings, general ledger maintenance, premium tax filings, and various financial filings. The position reports to the Controller and offers a pathway for upward mobility. It involves a financial system conversion, testing, process development, supervision of 2 staff members, and participation in special projects.
Preference is given to local candidates within the greater Central Florida P&C insurance accounting pool. Relocation options can be discussed for the ideal candidate.
