Fox Rent A Car is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the month-end close across four operating subsidiaries and shape how the numbers tell the story of the business.

You will mentor a 5–6 person accounting team, work with tax, treasury, and operations, and own the close calendar from start to finish in a fast-paced environment. This role is fully on-site in Tulsa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA is a plus.
• Background in service, hospitality, or rental car industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and proper reporting.
• Manage, mentor, and develop an accounting team of 5–6 professionals.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify reporting discrepancies and recommend adjustments to improve accuracy.
• Monitor key financial and operational metrics and provide reporting to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting workflows and internal controls.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Partner with the tax team to support local sales and regulatory tax compliance.
• Assist with treasury and cash management activities, including banking relationships and daily cash operations.
• Provide support on special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
