We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded Assistant Controller to serve as a key financial leader and trusted partner to the VP of Finance. In this high-impact, newly created role, you will go beyond traditional accounting by focusing heavily on financial modeling, dynamic forecasting, and executive decision support.

The ideal candidate brings a strong quantitative and financial analysis background—ideally within complex manufacturing environments and excels at translating raw data into actionable insights for executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Analysis & Forecasting: Lead financial modeling, annual budgeting, long-term forecasting, and variance analysis to drive business performance.
• Executive Reporting: Develop and present high-level financial reporting packages, monthly board/executive decks, and strategic reviews.
• Team Leadership: Directly manage, mentor, and build a team of 2–5 finance and accounting direct reports.
• Leadership Partnership: Serve as the primary "right-hand" to the VP of Finance, assisting with ad-hoc strategic projects, operational efficiency initiatives, and overall financial oversight.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or financial management.
• Industry Background: Prior experience in manufacturing sectors (e.g., aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing) is strongly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Strong preference for a strategic, finance-focused skill set over purely traditional general-ledger accounting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring direct reports.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with proven ability to present complex financial concepts directly to senior executives.
