Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is partnering with a global industry-leading manufacturer to hire an Assistant Controller. This high-impact position offers visibility across finance and operations and opportunities to influence key business decisions.

You will support the Controller in day-to-day accounting, close processes, and GAAP compliance, while driving ERP and process improvements. The role also involves mentoring staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• CPA required (or actively completing CPA exams).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-6+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public accounting and industry preferred.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred; candidates from other complex inventory/cost accounting environments will also be considered.
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in leading day-to-day accounting operations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
• Drive process improvements across accounting systems and ERP functions
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, AP, AR, and operational teams
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal controls
• Mentor and develop accounting staff while helping build a high-performing team
