Position Summary
KQED is looking for a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Assistant Controller to help scale a best in class public media organization. Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller and senior leadership to manage accounting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax, and support strategic financial initiatives. To be successful in this role, you should possess strong technical accounting expertise and knowledge of US GAAP, preferably non-profit accounting and tax, excellent leadership skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and work well with a diverse team (AP-AR-Reporting-General Ledger Accounting).
This position will report into the Controller and will be based in San Francisco, CA (hybrid).

This role will work hybrid between working in and working remotely. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Salary Information: $131,900 - $164,000 Annually
