$115,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Position Overview:

A growing, private equity-backed company in the commercial construction services sector is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with a background in the construction industry, looking to step into a leadership role with exposure to acquisitions and strategic financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly close processes, including revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance and licensing for contracts with general contractors
• Manage monthly sales tax filings and quarterly payroll tax filings (PA & NJ)
• Review and support accounts payable processes
• Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting and process improvements

Team Structure:

• Reports directly to the Controller
• Works alongside a team of 5 accounting professionals (AP, AR, Billing, Payroll, Collections)
