Overview
This is a full-time, exempt position, responsible for executing day-to-day accounting and finance functions.
Key relationships: Administrative Coordinator; Sponsor and Exhibits Coordinator; Speaker and Events Coordinator.
Direct Report: None
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
There should be no travel associated with this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all general ledger accounting is timely and accurate. Coordinate and manage all GL entries. Make manual entries when needed.
- Conduct all account reconciliations.
- Produce monthly financial statements as defined by SLAS procedures.
- Support the Controller with the year-end audit and 990 reporting with external CPAs.
- Manage VAT reporting with support from external vendor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with Excel functions including pivot tables, sum if, lookup, charts et al.
- Financial software, such as Sage Intacct, Business Central, etc., experience is required.
- CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
- Non-profit or professional association experience is preferred.
- Foreign exchange and VAT knowledge is an advantage.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
- Will consider qualified candidates with five plus years of related experience.
