Job summary

CFS in Niles, MI is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the Controller in overseeing daily operations and financial reporting. This role offers growth through involvement in close processes, internal controls, and collaboration with department heads.

You will prepare statements, assist with audits, and help drive accuracy and timeliness across GAAP-compliant reporting. 100% onsite role with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of accounting or financial management experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial data and support budgeting efforts.
• Participate in audits and assist with documentation and reporting.

Salary: $89,444 – $91,447 depending on experience
