About The Company

Our client is an established real estate firm that builds large-scale, mixed-use developments that integrate luxury, culture, and community. The Assistant Controller will focus specifically on the financial reporting for various real estate credit investment vehicles for the firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage the third-party fund administrator to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements are met
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP
• Implement and monitor an effective internal control environment over all aspects of financial reporting
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for the investment team, management team, and strategic partners/investors
• Ensure that all inter-company transactions are processed and are fully reconciled on a monthly basis
• Calculate, review, and process asset management fees and performance fees
• Monitor bank account balances and efficient use of cash ensuring proper working capital is established and maintained
• Work with external tax service to ensure compliance with tax regulations for all relevant entities
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA preferred
• 7-10 years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and fund accounting
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Can liaise with various stakeholders
