Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

A great UHY client is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage or Intacct, Healthcare experience, public accounting experience, and PE experience.

The Assistant Controller role is a remote role. This is a client direct hire position.

• Support month-end close operations through process optimization, automation, and standardization to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Own key accounting workflows and help identify and implement process improvements to drive scalability and reliability.
• Assist with the interpretation and application of technical accounting standards and ensure proper implementation of new accounting guidance.
• Play a leadership role in enhancing processes related to revenue recognition and accounts receivable management.
• Partner closely with teams across finance, operations, legal, and executive leadership to ensure timely and accurate sharing of financial information.
• Ensure strong internal controls are maintained and processes are well-documented and adhered to.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist in presenting results and insights to senior leadership.
• Help develop meaningful financial analyses to support business decision-making and performance evaluation.
• Mentor and support accounting team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, development, and accountability.
• Demonstrate strong ownership over assigned areas and proactively raise issues or risks to ensure transparency and resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; active CPA license strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience; mix of public and private company experience preferred.
• Experience in consumer services, healthcare, or medical industries preferred.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Proven experience mentoring or developing team members.
