Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

A great UHY client is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage or Intacct, Healthcare, public accounting, and PE experience.

The Assistant Controller role is remote. This is a client direct hire position.

• Support month-end close operations through process optimization, automation, and standardization to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Own key accounting workflows and help identify and implement process improvements to drive scalability and reliability.
• Assist with the interpretation and application of technical accounting standards and ensure proper implementation of new accounting guidance.
• Play a leadership role in enhancing processes related to revenue recognition and accounts receivable management.
• Partner with teams across finance, operations, legal, and leadership to ensure timely and accurate sharing of financial information.
• Ensure strong internal controls are maintained and processes are well-documented and followed.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist in presenting results to senior leadership.
• Help develop financial analyses to support business decisions and performance evaluation.
• Mentor and support accounting team members, fostering collaboration, development, and accountability.
• Demonstrate ownership over assigned areas and proactively raise issues or risks for transparency and resolution.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, public and private experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, consumer services, or medical industries is a plus.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative mindset.
• Proven experience mentoring or developing team members.
