JBS Foods is seeking an Assistant Controller in Pipestone, MN to lead cost analysis, inventory management, and month-end closing. The role involves preparing daily/weekly P&Ls, implementing cost-reduction measures, and supporting budget processes.

The salaried, day-shift position may require occasional Saturdays and travel to other facilities or events. Strong Excel skills and independent, team-oriented work style are essential.

Competenze

• BA/BS Degree in business or related field – preferred
• Proficient in 10-key, MS Excel and computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of operation processes
• Previous experience with cost analysis
• Self-Started, Problem Solver, Team Player

• Trustworthy – will be handling confidential material
• Previous Experience in Industry and or Similar Manufacturing setting is preferred but not required

• Collaborate with plant management to drive cost reductions in P&L reporting
• Assist Plant Controller in preparing annual budget and fixed asset accounting
• Attend meetings and discuss plant expenses, costs, and reduction plans

Assistant Controller

$70,000-90,000 potential salary earnings
Primarily Days - (M-F & Saturdays as needed)

Hours:

• Day shift position, flexible as required
• Saturday as required or needed
• Ability to work different shifts & schedules, as needed

Job Description:

• Complete various yield reports
• Manage Raw Material and Finished Goods Inventory
• Prepare Daily and Weekly P&L’s
• Perform month end closing functions
• Implement new procedures or policies as directed
• Compile & track information regarding expense & costs associated with operation of facility
• Work closely with plant management and staff to continually drive the recommended cost reductions into the P&L reporting
• Assist the Plant Controller in preparing annual budget
• Assist the Plant Controller with Fixed Asset accounting functions
• Attend meetings as scheduled; prepared to discuss plant expenses, evaluate costs and detail plans for expense reductions
• Work with the Plant Management on special projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
