Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Assistant Fund Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $135,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Support fund accounting and financial reporting activities, including quarter end and year end close processes.
- Review reconciliations, financial schedules, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with investor reporting, cash management activities, capital transactions, and related fund operations.
- Coordinate with auditors, administrators, tax professionals, and internal stakeholders to support ongoing business requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, financial analyses, and special projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within financial services, investment management, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, account reconciliations, and close processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with complex financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous public accounting experience.
- CPA credential preferred.
- Prior experience with fund accounting, private equity, asset management, alternative investments, or institutional investment structures.
- Familiarity with multi entity, multi currency, or international reporting environments.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
