Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA license required.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience, including public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, internal controls, and policy adherence.
• Coordinate external audits and support tax/regulatory compliance.
• Partner with leaders on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial insights.
• Mentor and develop accounting team and improve systems and processes.

Salary

The Assistant Controller will earn an annual base salary between $150,000 and $175,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a 15% annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assistant Controller will own monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities while ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

• Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, internal controls, accounting policies, and related financial analyses

• Coordinate external audits and support tax, regulatory, and other compliance requirements

• Partner with finance and operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial insights

• Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes while mentoring and developing members of the accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with an active CPA license

• Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes, with demonstrated leadership and communication skills
