Assistant Controller with Leading Real Estate Property Group

Location: Fishers, IN

Position: Permanent

Overview of the Role

Join a well-established property management group with over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry as their Assistant Controller. Be part of a close-knit, friendly team where you'll have the autonomy to manage financial operations while enjoying a flexible work environment and clear opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and cash management.
  2. Utilize Avid Exchange for automated audit, inspection, and correction processes.
  3. Reconcile leases to ensure accurate rent recapture for commercial and residential properties.
  4. Prepare and review financial statements, bank reconciliations, and other financial reports.
  5. Oversee cash management activities in due course.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • CPA preferred; background in public accounting is required.
  • Experience in real estate accounting is required.
  • Proficiency in Avid GL, GAAP, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
