BDL - Residential Construction | Homebuilding | West

Key Functions & Responsibilities

• Handle comprehensive general ledger activities and ensure timely reconciliation across multiple business entities
• Compile and deliver accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and forward-looking financial projections
• Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures in line with U.S. GAAP standards
• Direct day-to-day treasury operations, including managing liquidity, cash flow forecasts, and short-term funding strategies
• Supervise the disbursement of funds, including vendor invoice processing and bank loan draws
• Act as the primary liaison for annual external audits and ensure smooth coordination with auditors
• Oversee compliance with insurance requirements related to residential construction projects and facilitate insurance audits
• Support the CFO and executive team by executing special projects and financial initiatives as needed
• Monitor and review payroll data and related reports for accuracy and compliance, working with third-party providers as necessary
• Manage collaboration with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of federal and state tax returns

Required Background & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field (mandatory)
• Active CPA license (required)
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the residential construction or homebuilding industry
• Familiarity with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Brix considered advantageous
• Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to communicate insights effectively
• Capable of managing financial operations across multiple business units simultaneously
