Job summary

Integra Mission Critical is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support accounting teams across multiple lines of business, including fee-based services, construction, and manufacturing. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role ensures day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls are executed with rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise accounting and financial reporting staff across multiple lines of business.
  • Oversee day to day accounting operations, weekly payment cycles, and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, overhead and project progress reports.
  • Analyze monthly variances between projected and actual results at project and enterprise levels.
  • Partner with operations to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist operations with review of estimates, owner billings, and setup/maintenance of project cost reporting.

Location DFW Department DEPADM The Opportunity A rapidly growing global design build enterprise is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support accounting teams across multiple lines of business including fee based services construction and manufacturing Reporting to senior finance leadership this role provides oversight of day to day accounting operations financial reporting and internal controls while partnering closely with operations to support project based financial management The Assistant Controller brings strong business acumen leadership capability and hands on accounting expertise to a complex fast paced environment

What you will do
  • Direct and supervise accounting and financial reporting staff across multiple lines of business.
  • Oversee day to day accounting operations weekly payment cycles and month end and year end close processes.
  • Prepare review and analyze financial reports that summarize and forecast company financial performance including income statements balance sheets cash flow forecasts overhead reports and project progress reports.
  • Analyze and communicate monthly variances between projected and actual results at the project and enterprise level.
  • Partner with operations leadership to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist operations teams with review of estimates owner billings and setup and maintenance of project level cost reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies procedures and internal control requirements.
  • Support setup and ongoing maintenance of contracts vendors subcontractors employee timekeeping and expense reporting systems within a project based environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead development coaching and training of accounting and finance staff.
  • Support audits and provide required financial schedules and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned; limited travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial management within a directly related field.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from an accredited university.
  • Experience with major ERP systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Cognos or Hyperion a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA in Accounting Finance or Economics.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
