Job summary

Magna International Cosma seeks a seasoned accounting/finance leader in Troy, NY to manage payroll, cost accounting, and ERP data across a manufacturing environment. You will supervise payroll processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and collaborate with multiple departments to optimize financial performance.

Required: 5–7 years in related roles with SAP and OneStream; 3 years of supervisory experience; strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of related experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Related manufacturing environment experience.
• Prior experience supervising the processing of payroll with ADP, Dayforce/Workday or similar outsourced payroll provider.
• Proven SAP experience.
• Prior experience with OneStream reporting
• Significant hands-on experience using an integrated ERP system.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accounting
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments.
• Must be a team player who also works well independently.
• Must be able to analyze data, draw conclusions, interpret results, and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing and related accounting activities.
• Provide supervisory guidance and develop a high-performing team.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory controls and ERP data integrity.
• Apply U.S. GAAP in a manufacturing context and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and advise on financial decisions.
