Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6-10+ years accounting experience expected.
• Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience improving accounting processes and implementing efficiencies.
• ERP experience required.
• Healthcare, medical device, biotechnology, life sciences, or manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day accounting function and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain the general ledger and reconciliations; ensure integrity of financial records.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Evaluate workflows for automation and process improvement.
• Build scalable accounting processes to support rapid growth.
• Partner with executives on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and reporting.
• Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting for strategic decisions.
• Support external audits and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

The Assistant Controller will play a highly visible role leading the day-to-day accounting function while helping modernize financial processes and reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and overall integrity of the financial records
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure ongoing compliance
• Evaluate accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
• Build scalable accounting processes that support the company's rapid growth
• Partner closely with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting
• Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting that support strategic business decisions
• Assist with implementing best practices that improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness
• Support external audits and regulatory compliance

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
