Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including supervision.

• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and oversee a five-person team.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with timely reporting.
• Review GL activity, reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare financial statements and provide insights to ownership and leadership.
• Oversee AP/AR, cash management, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and related functions.
• Establish policies, procedures, and internal controls; drive process improvements.
• Partner with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and analysis.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings; liaise with external professionals.
• Safeguard company assets and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day accounting operations for the organization.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately five accounting professionals.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Maintain the integrity of the company's accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and provide meaningful insights to ownership and senior leadership.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and other core accounting functions.
• Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase the efficiency of the accounting department.
• Partner with ownership and operational leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with external accounting and financial professionals.
• Ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place to safeguard company assets.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and provide hands‑on support to the accounting team when needed.
• Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and other initiatives as the business evolves.
• Serve as a trusted financial resource to ownership and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory experience.
• Prior experience managing and developing an accounting team.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative with ownership and operational leadership.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the accounting team.
• Experience in a privately held, family-owned, or closely held business is a plus.
