Work Skills Corporation (WSC) is seeking a talented accounting professional for an important leadership role in our Accounting Department. The position may be filled as Controller or Assistant Controller, reporting to the President and CEO, with responsibilities spanning accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, audits, and staff development.
We are a nonprofit diverse in programs, requiring strong financial discipline and cross‑functional collaboration.
Put your accounting skills to work for something bigger!
At Work Skills Corporation (WSC), our work is about helping people optimize their potential. For more than 50 years, WSC has created opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to learn, work, live more independently, and be part of their communities.
We're looking for a talented accounting professional who wants to bring their skills to an organization where the work has purpose. We're open to an experienced Controller or someone ready to take the next step in their career as an Assistant Controller.
We're a nonprofit, but we're not a typical nonprofit. Our work spans employment and staffing services, commercial production, clinical services, residential and home care, and other programs that create opportunities for the people we serve.
That makes this an interesting accounting environment with a variety of programs and business operations, all connected by one mission. You'll join an experienced Accounting Department with strong institutional knowledge and a team that knows WSC well. You won't be expected to figure everything out on your own.
Reporting to the President and CEO, you'll play an important role in leading and strengthening WSC's Accounting Department.
We're looking for a strong accounting professional with good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others. You don't need to have already been a Controller to apply.
Leadership experience is helpful, but we're also interested in someone with the ability and desire to grow as a leader. Nonprofit experience is highly desirable. Experience with audits, budgeting, internal controls, grants, contracts, or complex business operations is valuable.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
At WSC, we believe that when our people grow, our organization grows. We're proud of the team we've built and the difference we make in our community.
You may already be in a Controller role, or currently an Accounting Manager or accounting professional who's ready for more.
What matters is what you can bring to WSC and where we can go together!
Bring your skills. Grow with us. Help us change lives!
