Job summary

Intermountain Home Services seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to join our centralized Corporate Accounting team in Sandy, Utah. This hands-on leadership role will oversee 2-3 assigned brands, manage month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization.

You'll collaborate with Corporate Controller, FP&A, Treasury, AP, and brand leadership to drive internal controls and process improvements, including system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Intermountain Home Services (IHS) is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our centralized Corporate Accounting team in Sandy, Utah.

IHS operates across 7 brands plus HoldCo, with Corporate Accounting providing centralized accounting and financial reporting support. The Assistant Controller will have primary accounting responsibility for 2-3 assigned IHS brands, while also supporting Corporate Accounting and HoldCo activities.

This is a hands-on accounting leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, balance sheet integrity, accounting controls, and consistent accounting processes across the assigned brands.

The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Corporate Controller, FP&A, Treasury, Accounts Payable, branch leadership, and other members of the Corporate Accounting team.

What You'll Do
