Job summary

Intermountain Home Services (IHS) seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to join our centralized Corporate Accounting team in Sandy, Utah. This hands-on leadership role will have primary responsibility for 2–3 assigned brands while also supporting Corporate Accounting and HoldCo activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely month-end close.

You will partner with the Corporate Controller, FP&A, Treasury, Accounts Payable, and brand leadership to strengthen internal controls,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience managing month-end close and reconciliations.
Advanced Excel and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage accounting and financial reporting for 2-3 assigned brands.
Lead month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Analyze results, investigate variances, provide insights to leadership.
Oversee general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, intercompany.
Partner with AP, FP&A, and brand leadership to support operations.
Drive process improvements and accounting system enhancements; ensure controls.
