Job Title: Assistant Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate is a go-getter and self-starter, eager to learn and grow within the company. This role offers the opportunity to work on various projects across Lafayette, Indiana to Columbus, IN, assisting the on-site Superintendent with paperwork, technology, and general assistant duties. The successful candidate will be very computer savvy and ready to move from project to project, contributing to larger projects and gaining valuable experience in the field. This position is 100% in the field and is ideal for candidates with aspirations of becoming Project Managers, Superintendents, or Estimators.

Responsibilities

• Assist the on-site Superintendent with daily paperwork and documentation.
• Utilize technology to streamline project management and communication.
• Perform general assistant duties, including scheduling, coordinating meetings, and managing correspondence.
• Support the team in various administrative tasks to ensure smooth project operations.
• Travel between project sites as needed, adapting to different project requirements.
• Engage in continuous learning and development to advance within the company.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Procore
• Experience with scheduling software
• Ability to read blueprints with at least 1 year of experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience on construction sites post-graduation
• Any level of college degree related to Construction Management or Construction Engineering
• Commercial or industrial experience through internships or professional experience

Work Environment

The position is on-site from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 or 4:30 pm, with some weekends as needed per project. A truck allowance of $700 per month is provided, or $350 if the truck is older than 6 years. A phone allowance of $40 per month is also included.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
