Job summary

W3Global in the United States is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support planning and execution of commercial construction projects. This role suits someone with initial construction experience who wants greater responsibility while learning from experienced project leaders throughout the project lifecycle.

You will assist with estimating, preconstruction, field coordination, scheduling, and closeout activities, offering strong growth into a more senior PM role.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, estimating, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of commercial construction processes, documentation, and workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
  • Willingness to work in both office and active construction site environments.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Support estimating and bidding: prepare cost estimates and proposals.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and project progress on active sites.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare accurate minutes.
  • Prepare and track permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Monitor milestones and identify schedule or budget risks.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project punch lists.
  • Assemble closeout documentation and support project completion.
  • Maintain organized project records and grow responsibilities.
