Job summary

Tusco, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our growing team.

This role supports experienced Project Managers from preconstruction through execution and helps keep high-security projects organized, coordinated, and moving forward. You will assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and coordination of materials, equipment, rentals, vendors, and subcontractors, while helping with estimating and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bluebeam Revu experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and job setup.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, rentals, deliveries, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, project scoping, and obtaining vendor quotes.
• Help coordinate jobsite access, badging, staffing, and other project requirements.
• Prepare and distribute manpower, progress, and delivery reports.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, General Contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Help ensure project information, documentation, and deadlines stay organized.
