About The Role

As an Assistant Community Property Manager at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations across our residential community, ensuring seamless administration, timely rent collection, and strong resident communication. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a professional and responsive office environment. It offers the opportunity to directly contribute to operational continuity, financial processes, and resident satisfaction.

You will collaborate closely with the Community Property Manager, residents, vendors, and the onsite maintenance team, ensuring that service requests, move-ins, and financial tasks are handled efficiently. This is a full-time, on-site role located at FLATZ 520 in Maricopa, AZ

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys working with people, is highly detail-oriented, and can confidently step into leadership responsibilities when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Supports daily operations by maintaining efficient office workflows and addressing resident needs
  • Responds to resident inquiries and concerns with urgency and professionalism
  • Processes rent payments, issues late notices, and supports rent collection procedures
  • Assists with leasing and renewal processes by preparing documents and coordinating tours
  • Coordinates move-ins and move-outs, including unit inspections and readiness checks
  • Submits and tracks invoices and supports budget adherence and financial documentation
  • Communicates with vendors, processes service requests, and ensures timely work order completion
  • Acts as on-site lead in the absence of the Community Property Manager
  • Maintains accurate and compliant resident files and ledgers
  • Promotes healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory and company policies

Who You Are

  • 2–5 years of experience in property management, leasing, or administrative roles in residential settings
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in property management or business preferred
  • Working knowledge of property operations, leasing practices, and Fair Housing laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and property management systems such as Yardi
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities with high attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of assuming leadership duties during manager absences
  • CAM or CALP certification is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
